The Different Methods of Bird Control That You Could Consider

Most people consider birds as adorable creatures. To some extent, this is true. It is always a great pastime to spend afternoons in the park feeding them,  and simply watching them go about their own business. However, this is only one side to birds. When these creatures decide to invade your compound, you may be up for more than you bargained for and have to practice bird control to keep them at bay. The first thing that you would have to contend with would be the noise that you would be subjected to. Secondly, you would have to clean up their fecal matter every other hour. This is even harmful to your health, as their fecal matter carries some bacteria that could prove hazardous if ingested by humans. This is why it would be important to look into methods that can control bird once they have decided to make your residence their home.

1.Spikes: Birds love to roost. They tend to do this in groups, and that is why before you know it you would be dealing with an entire swarm in your compound. The best way to stop this would be by use of spikes. You can have these spikes installed on your roof, and this will make it difficult for them to find a comfortable position to roost. With time, they will move on to somewhere that is more conducive.

2. Do not leave out water or food: Birds are opportunistic feeders. There is no way that you can have effective bird control if you are encouraging them to visit your compound. Ensure that there are no water sources available to them. In addition to that, do not leave out any crumbs for them to come and feed on. Without a source of food in your home, they will not feel a need to come and spend time there.
